We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Network Maintenance Technician to join our team based in Barnstaple North Devon. You will be expected to travel to other areas as required by the business. This is a full-time, permanent position. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £26,926 - £33,950 per year, development opportunities aligned with our progression scheme, standby and overtime pay, and a range of excellent benefits and rewards.
About the Role:
As a Network Maintenance Technician, your days will vary as you deliver high-quality customer service and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders. You will utilize your skills, knowledge, and experience to perform operational maintenance on assets such as service reservoirs and PRVs, and provide general maintenance to sites and buildings. You will also support activities within the Network Service Delivery teams, which involves participating in standby and call-out rotas after training.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Ensuring compliance with Health, Safety & Security policies and standards
* Performing maintenance on network assets and premises to keep them operational and efficient
* Following all relevant QMS procedures and maintaining awareness through self-learning
* Protecting the environment during maintenance activities
* Supporting supply interruption mitigation through planned and reactive deployment, including out-of-hours work
* Supporting operations within the Water Distribution network
* Preventing contamination and knowing how to respond if contamination occurs
* Participating in standby and call-out rotas to ensure continuous water service delivery
* Providing excellent customer service and maintaining good relations with customers, authorities, and colleagues
* Carrying out reservoir cleaning and confined space entry as needed
What We Are Looking For:
* A full UK B driving license; B+E preferred
* Minimum GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English and Maths
* EUSR Water Hygiene Certificate (preferred)
* Experience working in a water supply environment
* Ability to maintain buildings and structures
* Proven ability to meet deadlines
* Experience working independently and in teams
* Strong customer service skills
