DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Power Generation Electrical Field Service Technician to join our team specializing in the Service, Repair, and Maintenance of Gensets and Electrical Controls and Equipment for Cummins, ideally home-based in the Midlands/South Yorkshire Region of the United Kingdom.
This is a permanent, hybrid position, working Monday to Thursday 8:00am 4:45pm and Friday 8:00am 12:30pm. Flexible working arrangements and a 24/7 call-out rota (1 in 5 weeks) provide variety and career development opportunities.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Deliver high-quality preventative maintenance on power generation equipment in the field.
Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime for our customers.
Complete accurate service documentation, warranty claims, and quality reports in line with company standards.
Escalate complex issues to product specialists or supervisors to ensure timely resolution.
Maintain service vehicles, tools, and equipment in excellent condition for safe and efficient operation.
Identify and communicate potential upsell opportunities to customers.
Share knowledge and expertise with colleagues to support team development and skills growth.
Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, reporting incidents as required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Proven experience of diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining power generation equipment.
Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge, including control panels, rewiring, and troubleshooting.
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
Proven ability to deliver high-quality work while adhering to Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering.
18th Edition Electrical qualification preferred.
Experience with PLC control systems, LV/HV switchgear, or aftermarket Genset controllers is advantageous but not essential.
