Position: Staff Nurse
Full Time (40 hrs)
£35,000 - £39,500 per annum + Benefits
Purpose
To work alongside the dermatology team providing high-quality, patient-centered care within the clinic. Reporting to the Lead Nurse, you will communicate effectively within the multidisciplinary team, support consultations, assist in minor surgical procedures, and manage pre and post-operative care, including wound care and clinical treatments.
Responsibilities
Main Responsibilities
* Assist dermatologists and surgeons with specialized procedures such as skin surgery, photo dynamic therapy, mole mapping, etc., within your scope of practice.
* Support patient pathways, participate in treatment and monitoring.
* Work with the Lead Nurse to meet service requirements and uphold clinical governance.
* Engage with new technologies and practices, promoting improvements in patient services.
* Ensure compliance with NICE Guidelines, BDNG competencies, and company policies.
* Adhere to the NMC Code of Conduct.
* Act as a role model to junior team members.
* Organize workload effectively to meet clinic and patient needs.
* Follow TDP policies and procedures, promote the company's vision and values.
Clinical Responsibilities
* Support patients throughout their visit, ensuring safe and effective care.
* Provide relevant information about treatments and care plans.
* Supervise and support junior staff as needed.
* Educate patients and families on skin care, disease prevention, and health maintenance.
* Assist with procedures such as biopsies and sample collection.
* Chaperone patients during examinations and procedures.
* Prepare equipment and paperwork for clinics.
* Advocate for patients and ensure satisfaction.
* Maintain high standards of clinical care and create a supportive environment.
