Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, this role will be responsible for supporting procurement, managing shortages, and sourcing cost-effective suppliers to maintain production continuity and savings.

Job Description
Supporting the Purchasing Manager by raising purchase orders, expediting deliveries, and ensuring best quality, price, and lead times across production, R&D, and ad hoc requirements.
Monitoring and managing supplier performance, delivery schedules, and shortages; proactively chasing delays and sourcing alternative suppliers to minimise disruption to production.
Maintaining and updating supplier databases, pricing, and specifications in real time; assisting in stock take preparations and reporting activities.
Handling returns and supplier issues, resolving invoice discrepancies, and reporting quality or delivery performance concerns for continuous supplier improvement.
Participating in cost-saving initiatives, negotiating favourable terms, and supporting strategic buying plans to align with production forecasts and business goals.

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications
Previous experience in a relevant procurement or purchasing role.
Proven experience of working closely with suppliers and negotiating pricing, quality, and delivery.
Excellent Microsoft Office knowledge specifically Excel.
