The role
As a Production Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. As part of the senior operational management team on site, you’ll join us to effectively manage the businesses operational resource to safely deliver the required output against the plan(s). This role makes resource prioritisation decisions to best to achieve the current (plus any subsequent amendments) to the output plan using the resources available.
Day-to-day, you’ll make decisions in the interest of the vehicle production line using your experience and key indicators required by the business needed to meet client demand.
1. Ensuring outputs are delivered against plans provided and managing and prioritising resource allocation to meet delivery plan.
2. Ensuring H&S standards are followed including use of PPE, safe working areas, near miss reporting and accident reporting.
3. Ensuring management chain is notified of risks of meeting output plan as soon as is apparent.
4. Managing their people using supporting processes/policies
5. Ensuring company processes are regularly reviewed and submit suggested amendments where appropriate.
This role is full time, 40 hours per week and is based on site at Walsall.
Essential experience of the Production Manager
6. Proven experience within automotive production.
7. Demonstrated leadership experience.
Qualifications for the Production Manager
8. Educated to Level 4 in National Qualification Framework (NQF) as a minimum (Higher apprenticeship, HNC, Level 4 NVQ) or equivalent workplace experience.
