Specialist Radiographer - MRI

We are recruiting for a Specialist MRI Radiographer who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
Based at the Lister Hospital in Stevenage, you will perform a range of MR examinations, and will participate in a cross site rota with our sister site at the new QEII Hospital.
In addition to general MR examinations, there is a fortnightly paediatric session for sedated and general anaesthetic cases and a dedicated session for patients with conditional pacemakers with support from cardiology.

We are looking for flexible, forward‑thinking, and highly motivated radiographers, with good communication skills and a team working ethic.
Main duties of the job
* Perform a range of MR examinations.
* Participate in a cross‑site rota with the QEII Hospital.
* Conduct fortnightly paediatric sessions for sedated and general anaesthetic cases.
* Perform sessions for patients with conditional pacemakers with support from cardiology.
* Maintain proficiency across Siemens MRI scanners (3T and 1.5T) and related equipment.
* Work a 7‑day shift pattern.
* Support training and development of junior staff.
Qualifications / Training
* DCR or BSc Diagnostic Radiography
* HCPC registration as a Radiographer
* Evidence of Continuous Professional Development
Previous Experience
* Experience in MR
* Experience supervising junior members of staff
* Demonstration of ability to make decisions and take responsibility
* Experience of a supporting role in day‑to‑day management
Skills
* Organisational skills
* Excellent communication skills at all levels
Knowledge
* High standard competency in MR
* IV cannulation training
