Management Accountant Magherafelt Up to £45,000pa Flexible Hours Black Fox Solutions are currently working with a leading Construction company who are looking to bring a Management Accountant on to the team. In this role you wont only be responsible for the accounts, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of the business. Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Financial Controller to execute month-end close activities, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and accruals, with responsibility level aligned to experience. Manage the accounts payable and receivable processes, including supplier payments and creditor reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Oversee bank account reconciliations and assist in daily cash flow monitoring to support effective working capital management. Prepare and review VAT returns, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting tax-related audits. Support payroll processing activities and coordinate with external payroll providers to ensure accuracy and adherence to deadlines. Generate monthly management reports, including profit and loss statements and detailed variance analyses to inform business decision-making. Assist the Financial Controller in audit preparations and year-end processes by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to audit queries. Identify opportunities to enhance accounting processes and controls, driving continuous improvement and supporting finance function transformation initiatives. Provide ad hoc financial analysis and administrative support to the leadership team to facilitate strategic planning and operational efficiency. What you'll need: Qualified / Part-qualified (CIMA/ACCA) Practical experience with month-end tasks and balance sheet reconciliations. Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
