About the role
A rewarding opportunity has arisen to deliver library services to residents that are housebound or with limited mobility restricting them from visiting their local library. In this highly valued service you will be responsible for the day to day operations which include the maintenance of records, and dealing with public and service user enquiries.
Additionally, in what may be the most satisfying aspect of the role, you will personally engage with clients, interpreting their needs and preferences to select and deliver what they value the most, the library materials and services they enjoy and appreciate.
About the person
The ideal candidate will understand the principles of the Home Library Service and will be able to work independently to maintain the quality of services and to meet the needs of our service users. Supervising an assistant, and predominantly dealing with residents of the borough in their homes, you will have good communication skills and the ability to connect and engage with people to promote and ensure the public utilisation of the library service.
