The post holder will comply with all local policies including dress code. Annual and study leave will be in line with local trust policy. Leave will generally be taken during medical student holidays, with specific work patterns agreed upon following a successful interview. Duties and hours are expected to be undertaken across Tuesday to Friday.
The successful applicants will be key members of the Undergraduate Medical Education Team, supporting clinical learning within the clinical environment. There may be opportunities to undertake a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCert) or equivalent, funded up to £3,500 by the Peninsula Medical School, generally through the University of Plymouth. Enthusiastic doctors interested in Medical Education and delivering excellent teaching will find this role rewarding, with opportunities for research or quality improvement projects within the Respiratory department.
The Medical School will hold Wednesday afternoon development sessions for Teaching Fellows. Flexibility is required for some teaching sessions, including occasional early starts and evening sessions with notice. Time off in lieu will be provided.
