BACKGROUND
Parkwood Outdoors Dolygaer is a multi-activity centre that aims to deliver fun, educational, and high-quality services to our customers. The company prides itself on its exemplary health and safety record and commitment to staff.
Facilities and services include a diverse range of activities suitable for most ages, along with 3 and 4-star accommodation for up to 80 people, a classroom, a cafe, and 14.5 acres of land nestled in the National Park.

The post holder will report directly to the Centre Manager.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Primary objectives for the Assistant Cook:
* Supervise the day-to-day operations of the cafe and catering facilities.
* Ensure the highest possible standards of Health and Safety and customer care.
The Assistant Cook will focus on the following tasks:
* Supervise daily operation of the cafe and kitchen.
* Prepare and cook meals and snacks according to Centre requirements.
* Undertake front-of-house cafe duties as necessary.
* Ensure all food is covered, stored, labelled, and dated to meet food safety regulations.
* Handle, store, prepare, and serve food to prevent contamination.
* Restrict kitchen and cafe access to authorized persons.
* Complete all cleaning duties during shifts.
* Report injuries involving staff or the public to the Centre Manager.
* Record and pass on complaints to the Centre Manager.
* Follow all Health and Safety procedures at all times.
* Deliver a high standard of customer service.
* Assist in managing the Centre’s quality assurance systems and procedures.
* Undertake cleaning duties as required.
* Fulfill any regulatory requirements.
* Handle cash responsibly and in accordance with company financial regulations.
* Provide a safe and efficient service to the public.
* Perform any other duties assigned by the Centre Manager to meet business objectives.

Qualifications:
* High standard of personal hygiene
* Driver's license
* Good interpersonal skills and a friendly disposition

* Effective communication skills at all levels of the organization
* Willingness to work additional hours when required
* Commitment to good employee relations and delivering quality training
