Role - Cloud Integration Engineer Location - Chorley, 3 days a week onsite Salary - £50,000 to £60,000 Start - ASAP The Opportunity We are looking for a Cloud Integration Engineer to join our client as they grow their Business Technology function at an exciting stage of digital maturity. Core systems are already in place across HR, Commercial and Operational teams. The next step is making them truly connected, intelligent and resilient. This role exists to lead that evolution. You will take ownership of integration across the business, ensuring systems communicate seamlessly, data flows reliably, and automation replaces manual processes. This is not about standing up new infrastructure; it's about maturing what exists, completing unfinished integration work, and creating a stable, scalable integration ecosystem. You'll report directly into the Technology leadership team and work closely with Business Analysts, Project Managers and Support, but you will be the technical owner of integrations and the Azure platform. The Role As Cloud Integration Engineer, your focus will be delivering and owning integrations between core business systems. You will: Design, build and support integrations across HR, commercial and operational platforms Ensure reliable data flow between systems (for example, enabling data to automatically populate into project and operational tools) Design integrations with clear error handling, resilience and recovery mechanisms Use Azure integration services such as Logic Apps and Azure Functions to build scalable, secure solutions Manage identity and access integration using Azure Entra ID Modernise and replace outdated automation processes Deliver workflow and scripting automation to reduce manual processing Design secure APIs or middleware to enable interoperability between systems Work alongside Business Analysts to translate requirements into robust technical solutions Act as the technical owner for integrations — providing ongoing optimisation, troubleshooting and continuous improvement Support Azure platform governance, configuration and security best practice There is also opportunity to contribute to more intelligent solutions over time, including AI-driven automation and agent-based capabilities, as the business continues to mature its digital strategy. The Person This role requires demonstrable integration delivery experience, not just cloud infrastructure exposure. Essential Experience Hands-on Azure integration tooling experience (e.g. Logic Apps, Azure Functions) Experience integrating business systems using Azure services Identity integration using Azure Entra ID Strong understanding of APIs, data flow and system interoperability Experience owning integrations beyond initial deployment Desirable Experience Delivering automation that reduced manual processing Designing secure APIs or middleware Integrating complex SaaS platforms (HR, ERP, operational systems) Awareness or exposure to AI-driven automation or agent-based solutions If you would like to learn more, please apply through the advert and we will be in touch to discuss in more detail.
