About Our Client
Michael Page are actively working with an East Leeds based business who are recruiting a Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team on a permanent basis. My client is looking for a bubbly and driven individual who is looking to continue progressing in their finance career by going into a hands on, end to end Accounts Payable role. This is the perfect opportunity for a candidate looking to gain more exposure in end to end duties in transactional finance to help them progress long term. My client is a notable business based in East Leeds, who are well known for providing a top quality working culture and training plans to help clear progression pathways within their internal finance team.
Job Description
3. Timely processing and matching supplier invoices
4. Creating and loading weekly and ad-hoc payment runs
5. Completing month-end balance sheet reconciliations and reports for transaction-based accounts
6. Retaining strong supplier relationships, with query handling, resolution and statement reconciliation
7. Maintaining cashbooks by posting and clearing outgoing/incoming payments, to vendor/customer accounts.
8. Supporting in cover of accounts receivable when necessary
The Successful Applicant
A successful Accounts Payable Co Ordinator should have:
9. Previous experience in a similar Accounts Payable, Purchase Ledger or Accounts Assistant!
10. Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
11. Experience in SAP would be preferred but not essential
12. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
13. Good communication skills for liaising with suppliers and internal teams.
14. A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
