ACS Civils are looking to recruit an experienced Site Manager with a strong earthworks/ Drainaige background to join our growing team delivering major civil engineering projects.
This role will suit someone who is confident managing large-scale earthworks operations, coordinating heavy plant and site teams, and driving programme delivery while maintaining the highest safety standards.
You will play a key role in leading works on site, ensuring operations run efficiently and key project milestones are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day earthworks operations ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with programme.
Coordinate and supervise teams of plant operators, groundworkers and labour.
Manage heavy plant operations including excavators, ADTs, dozers and rollers.
Work closely with Site Engineers to ensure works are delivered in line with design levels and specifications.
Monitor progress against the programme and understand the key drivers and milestones required to deliver the project.
Identify and resolve site constraints to maintain productivity and programme performance.
Deliver works in line with RAMS, health & safety and environmental requirements.
Liaise with the client, project management team and commercial team to ensure clear communication on site progress and performance.
Maintain strong leadership on site, promoting a positive safety culture and high standards of workmanship.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience managing earthworks packages on civil engineering projects.
Strong understanding of bulk earthworks, reinforced embankments, drainage and heavy plant operations.
Experience managing high-output earthmoving operations.
Ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced construction environment.
Good communication skills with the ability to deal with clients, engineers and commercial teams.
