Description
This role sits at the heart of our business; reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance for our Shakespeare Martineau brand, you'll partner with legal teams and senior stakeholders to deliver insight that drives performance, growth and improved working capital.

What you will be doing:
Partnering with legal teams to support performance, profitability and working capital.
Producing clear, insightful monthly MI, including performance against targets, utilisation and trends.
Monitoring activity to help team leads manage performance.
Leading annual budgets and semi-annual forecasts
Supporting recruitment decisions through robust, commercially focused business cases.
Delivering ad-hoc analysis for fee earners and senior stakeholders.
Producing profitability analysis to support tenders and strategic decisions.
Maintaining the accuracy of financial system data, including targets and rates.
Reviewing processes and driving improvements and efficiencies.
Coaching fee earners to build confidence in financial management and commercial awareness.
Working closely with central finance and group commercial finance teams.
This is an opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working with people, solving problems and making a meaningful impact in a fast-paced professional services environment.
You will be/need:
A fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
Able to demonstrate strong experience in finance business partnering with a commercial mindset.
Professional services experience (legal experience desirable).
Confidence using planning and forecasting tools (e.g. IBM Planning & Analytics or similar).
Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
A proactive, collaborative approach and comfort working at both strategic and detailed levels.
