This could be the ideal role for you!The Best Connection Swindon is currently recruiting for Finance Manager on day shift, this role is an ongoing assignment Our client is located in the Swindon area, accessible by public transport Requirements: · Proven experience in similar role ideally in the manufacturing industry, an auditing or advisory firm. · Ability to manage and optimise growing accounting, controlling and tax processes as the central contact person within the organisation. · Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures. · Degree in accounting, Finance or related field. · Eagerness to grow and to take on more responsibility in the future. · Strong communication and interpersonal skills. · Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. · Familiarity with ERP systems like proAlpha or SAP S/4HANA is preferable. Hours and pay: · 8am till 5pm. Monday-Friday with occasional flexible hours to meet deadlines · £15.50 to £17.50 per hour DOE Job Responsibilities for our client in Swindon: · Oversee all accounting operations including billing, accounts receivable/payable, general ledger, cost accounting, and inventory accounting. · Prepare timely monthly financial statements and ensure compliance with IFRS and statutory reporting requirements. · Provide support for preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, report variances, and analyse financial data to support decision-making. · Coordinate and oversee the preparation of tax returns. · Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls. · Coordinate and oversee external audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations to auditors. · Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards, and support month-end and year-end close processes.
