Child Care Solicitor - Leading Opportunity | Yorkshire (Hybrid)
A standout opportunity has arisen for a committed Child Care Solicitor to join a growing, Legal 500‑recognised firm in Yorkshire. This position offers flexibility, clear career progression and the chance to work within a supportive and dynamic team.
The role centres on representing adoption carers – such as grandparents, aunts and uncles – in care proceedings. You will also advise on Special Guardianship Orders, support plans and related allowances.
Key Responsibilities
* Represent adoption carers in care proceedings
* Advise on Special Guardianship applications, support plans and allowances
* Provide high-quality client care and build strong relationships
* Undertake advocacy work and manage a busy caseload effectively
Requirements
* Ideally a minimum of 1 year PQE (all levels will be considered)
* Strong knowledge of child care law and legal aid eligibility
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Experience in billing or public funding processes
* Advocacy skills and the ability to manage court work independently
* A proactive, organised and empathetic approach to client service
* Comfortable in a fast‑paced environment with the drive to progress
