Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Account Director to manage and grow a portfolio of public sector customers while continuing to drive new logo acquisition within defined target accounts. This role combines strategic account management with a clear expectation to identify and convert new customer opportunities across government, education, health, policing, and other regulated public bodies. The successful candidate will be trusted to own senior customer relationships, expand share of wallet within existing accounts, and proactively pursue net‑new customers aligned to our cyber security proposition. You will act as the primary commercial lead, working closely with pre-sales, delivery, and vendor partners to deliver sustainable revenue growth. Key Responsibilities Take full commercial ownership of an allocated public sector account portfolio, acting as the primary point of contact Develop and execute account plans to drive growth, retention, and cross‑sell across existing customers Identify, qualify, and pursue new logo opportunities within agreed accounts Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, including technical, operational, and executive decision-makers Lead discovery conversations to understand customer cyber risk, compliance obligations, and strategic priorities Position appropriate cyber security solutions, services, and consultancy Own the sales cycle end-to-end, from opportunity qualification through to close and ongoing account development Collaborate with vendor partners on joint account planning, pipeline creation, and co-selling opportunities Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasting, and opportunity hygiene in line with sales governance expectations Achieve agreed revenue, pipeline, retention, and new business targets Skills & Experience Essential: Proven experience in an Account Director or senior Account Manager role within technology or cyber security Demonstrable track record of growing existing accounts alongside winning new logo business Experience selling complex, consultative solutions into public sector or regulated environments Strong stakeholder management skills, with confidence engaging at senior and executive level Disciplined approach to opportunity qualification, forecasting, and pipeline management Strong communication, commercial negotiation, and presentation skills Desirable: Strong understanding of public sector procurement frameworks and buying cycles Experience selling cyber security technologies such as firewalls, XDR, SIEM/SOC, SASE, or security consultancy Established relationships across UK public sector, education, health, or justice environments Personal Attributes Commercially driven with a balanced approach to account management and new business development Credible and professional, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders Proactive and self-directed, with a clear focus on execution and outcomes Structured, organised, and comfortable managing multiple opportunities and accounts What We Offer Competitive base salary with uncapped commission Opportunity to manage strategic public sector accounts while shaping new logo growth Access to leading cyber security vendors, training, and enablement Strong pre-sales and delivery support to help drive successful outcomes Pension (5% matched) Healthcare cash plan Holiday purchasing scheme (additional 5 days per year) Employee Assistance Programme Up to 4 weeks sick pay Vitality Health rewards Cycle to work
