What We’re Looking For Previous experience as a Chef, nursery experience is essential. Confidence to run a kitchen independently as the sole chef. Strong knowledge of nutrition, allergies, and special diets. Understanding of food hygiene, health and safety, and kitchen best practices. Key Responsibilities Plan and prepare healthy, balanced meals and snacks for children each day. Adapt menus to suit children with allergies, intolerances, and special dietary requirements. Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised kitchen in line with food hygiene regulations. Order, manage, and store stock effectively. Work closely with nursery staff to ensure mealtimes are enjoyable and well-supported. Promote a positive food culture that encourages healthy eating habits in young children.
