We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Fully Qualified SEN Teaching Assistant to work with a variety of primary schools on a supply or contract basis. This role offers the opportunity to gain diverse classroom experience, work with different school communities, and have flexibility in your working schedule.
Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and effective lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
* Adapt to different classroom environments and year groups as required.
* Maintain high standards of safeguarding and pupil welfare.
* Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
* Support pupils with mental, social and physical difficulties.
* Adapt learning styles for individual pupils.
* Organise outside activities for learning purposes.
* Work closely with other professionals like educational psychologists or physiotherapists.
* Good verbal and numerical skills are important.
Key Requirements
* Fully Qualified SEN essential.
* Previous experience within UK primary schools.
* Flexibility to work at short notice across different schools.
* Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
* Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain a new one.
Advanced Requirements (salary bracket)
* Advanced Experience: Extensive experience of student success.
* Leadership or Coordinator Roles: Experience with subject lead, department coordinator, or involvement in extracurricular activities.
* Professional Development: Continued professional development (CPD) including advanced training or certifications that enhance teaching practice.
