Job Title: Electrical Project Manager Location: Birmingham, UK Sector: Residential & PBSA (Purpose-Built Student Accommodation) Salary: Competitive (based on experience) Job Type: Full-time, Permanent About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to oversee and deliver electrical works across residential and PBSA developments in Birmingham and the surrounding areas. This is a key role requiring proven leadership, technical expertise, and a strong understanding of the unique demands of both residential and student accommodation projects. Key Responsibilities: * Lead and manage electrical packages from pre-construction through to final handover. * Coordinate with main contractors, consultants, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met. * Ensure full compliance with electrical regulations and H&S requirements. * Manage project budgets, procurement schedules, and labour resources effectively. * Attend and lead project meetings, providing updates to clients and stakeholders. * Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety. * Resolve technical issues swiftly and efficiently to keep projects on track. Essential Requirements: * Minimum 5 years of experience as an Electrical Project Manager. * Proven track record in managing electrical works within the residential and PBSA sectors – this is essential. * Strong knowledge of electrical building services, current regulations, and installation best practices. * Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills. * Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications. * Full UK driving licence. Desirable: * Relevant industry qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering, SMSTS). * ECS/CSCS Card. * Experience with modern electrical systems including smart controls and energy-efficient technologies.
