Overview
We have an exciting opportunity in the School of Chemical and Biological Engineering for an Engineering Technician to join our technical support team.
Responsibilities
* Support teaching and research activities through the design and manufacture of custom experimental rigs and components.
* Operate CNC and manual machining equipment, ensuring precision component manufacturing.
* Use CAD software to design bespoke equipment for student and research projects.
* Collaborate with students and academics to deliver high‑quality technical solutions.
* Maintain safety standards and uphold service excellence in the workshop and laboratory.
Qualifications
* Level 3 apprenticeship qualification in an engineering design & manufacturing‑related subject (or equivalent experience).
* Proven vocational and practical application experience.
* Knowledge of safe working practices and Health and Safety in a workshop environment.
* Ability to communicate technical information clearly and succinctly to a variety of stakeholders.

£27,319 to £31,236 per annum with the potential to progress to £33,951 per annum.
