Tendring PCN has an exciting opportunity for a hardworking, enthusiastic and innovative pharmacy technician to join our primary care network on a full-time basis for 37.5 hours per week. This position is offered on a 18 month fixed term contract. You will join our pharmacists and pharmacy technicians who support patients across our 3 practices; Great Bentley Surgery, St James Surgery in Clacton and Mayflower Medical Centre in Harwich. The successful candidate will benefit from this opportunity to build up strong working relationships, across our organisation, and will be actively involved in how their role evolves over time. The main responsibilities of the role include: Developing our prescribing systems to ensure safe, effective and efficient prescribing within the PCN. Supporting the reception and administration teams, at our member practices, with complex medication queries. Supporting the GP partners on prescribing projects and cost/safety audits and actions. About the Candidate To be considered for the position, the successful candidate will have the following experience and qualifications: Registered pharmacy technician with the GPhC. Diploma Level 3 in pharmacy services, or equivalent. Strong experience in either a community pharmacy or a primary care setting. Confident in analysing and presenting information to health professionals. Experience of implementing and promoting cost-effective strategies. A bility to interpret complex clinical information and present it in suitable formats, to a variety of people from professional and non-professional backgrounds.
