Area Sales Manager (Lighting / Electrical) – South East
£48-55k basic + Uncapped Commission + Company Car
Overview
An exciting opportunity for a results-driven Area Sales Manager to drive growth across the Electrical Wholesale and Contractor channels within a leading lighting and electrical manufacturer.
You will take ownership of a newly created territory, developing new business opportunities while strengthening existing relationships across the South East region.
Key Responsibilities
• Proactively developing the Electrical Wholesaler channel to generate new “push/pull” business opportunities
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders including Branch Managers, Buyers and Trade Counter teams
• Developing and executing a structured regional sales plan to support growth objectives
• Identifying and converting contractor opportunities via the wholesaler network
• Negotiating pricing, rebates and commercial agreements to maximise sales and margin
• Managing the full sales process from initial engagement through to order conversion
• Producing accurate forecasts and tracking sales performance across the region
• Attending exhibitions, trade events and customer meetings to promote products and services
• Ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction through effective account management and issue resolution
• Working closely with internal sales and wider teams to deliver a consistent and professional customer experience
Requirements
• Proven track record in sales within the Electrical Wholesale or Contractor market
• Strong understanding of wholesaler and contractor business models (national and independent)
• Commercially aware with the ability to negotiate and maximise profitability
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage a territory independently
• Strong relationship-building and account management skills
• Confident communicator with strong presentation and negotiation abilities
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
