We're seeking a Reliability Engineer to join our client's team-a pivotal role to drive operational excellence, optimise uptime, and support business growth through data‑driven maintenance strategies. Key Responsibilities: Enhance the site's reliability and compliance strategy, ensuring machinery, control systems, and processes meet operational, regulatory (e.g. BRCGS), and internal standards. Develop and maintain an accurate equipment hierarchy & criticality database, prioritising assets based on failure risk and production impact. Implement reliability‑centred maintenance (RCM) and predictive maintenance programmes (PdM/CBM)-including vibration analysis, oil sampling, thermal imaging-to anticipate and prevent failures. Conduct Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and risk assessments to identify failure modes, assess risks, and propose mitigation strategies. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) on recurring or high‑impact failures, manage action items, and drive corrective action closure. Design and oversee ongoing reliability testing (e.g. HALT, ORT, accelerated life tests) to surface latent defects and validate asset performance. Define, capture, and monitor reliability KPIs (e.g. MTBF, OEE, failure rate), analyse trends, and adjust maintenance tactics accordingly. Drive continuous improvement through data‑driven maintenance optimisations, process upgrades, and new technology; regularly review and refine strategies. Collaborate closely with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and EHS teams to align reliability initiatives with safety and business goals.
