Role Description
We're seeking a highly skilled Aruba Network Engineer to lead a small network team in the design, deployment, and lifecycle management of secure enterprise networks. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience with Aruba solutions, including ClearPass, Aruba configuration manager and Services Manager, and Cisco experience is a plus, but Aruba expertise is essential.
Note: This role requires extended travel to London, with onsite assignments lasting 16 months and can be extended.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, implement, and support complex enterprise networks using Aruba’s full technology stack.
* Configure and troubleshoot a variety of Aruba platforms and services, including LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, VPNs, and dynamic routing protocols.
* Lead the deployment and tuning of network access control (NAC) with 802.1X, as well as QoS policies and firewall configurations.
* Work closely with Cybersecurity and IT teams to enforce NAC policies, VLAN segmentation, and secure VPN connectivity.
* Monitor and optimize performance using Aruba Central and other Aruba-native tools.
* Provide tier-3 level support for network outages, performance issues, and security incidents.
* Document network designs, changes, and topologies to ensure continuity and audit readiness.
* Apply DoD STIGs, SRGs, and other compliance frameworks to harden devices and configurations.
* Drive upgrades, patching, and security remediation across Aruba platforms.
* Incorporate both Aruba and industry security best practices to maintain a highly secure and resilient network posture.
Required Expertise:
* ArubaOS, Aruba Switches, Aruba ClearPass, NetEdit, Aruba Fabric Composer, and Pensando Policy and Services Manager.
* Familiarity with Cisco networking gear (secondary requirement).
* Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and team leadership skills.
