About the Role An established provider of passive fire protection services is seeking an experienced Estimator to support the delivery of high-quality fire door and fire stopping projects for commercial, residential, and public sector clients. The role will be pivotal in converting tender opportunities into profitable projects while maintaining high compliance and quality standards.Key Responsibilities
* Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for passive fire protection works.
* Assist with business development to support continued company growth.
* Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documents for compliance and accuracy.
* Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing and terms.
* Produce applications for payment, invoices, and variation accounts.
* Monitor project costs to ensure profitability.
* Attend client meetings to present services and technical capabilities.
* Participate in pre- and post-tender meetings, offering both technical and commercial input.
* Maintain tender trackers, cost databases, and commercial records.
Candidate Requirements
* Proven experience as an Estimator or Quantity Surveyor, ideally within passive fire protection.
* Knowledge of fire safety standards and compliance requirements is advantageous.
* Strong skills in cost planning, tender management, and contract administration.
* High level of numerical accuracy and commercial awareness.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and relevant project management tools.
