BMR Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Buyer to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing business based in Severn Beach, Bristol.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation where you will be responsible for managing the full purchasing process, including placing and expediting orders, supplier management, and issue resolution. You will play a key role in ensuring production schedules are met through effective procurement planning and communication.
Key Responsibilities
1. Place and expedite purchase orders in line with MRP demand.
2. Negotiate lead times, pricing, and quality with approved suppliers.
3. Maintain accurate MRP data and resolve supplier or invoice queries.
4. Support commodity strategy improvements to reduce cost and risk.
5. Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure on-time delivery.
Skills & Experience
* CIPS Level 4 or equivalent purchasing qualification (or qualified by experience).
* MRP/ERP experience – ideally JD Edwards E1, SAP, or Oracle.
* Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills.
* Proven background in engineering/manufacturing procurement.
