The Role
- Manage your own caseload of clinical negligence matters from initial instruction through to resolution.
- Handle a broad range of medical negligence claims, including complex and high‑value cases.
- Work closely with senior lawyers on technically challenging matters.
- Build trusted relationships with clients, providing clear and compassionate advice throughout the claims process.
- Draft pleadings, witness statements, correspondence and other legal documentation.
- Review medical records and expert evidence to develop effective case strategies.
- Attend court hearings where appropriate and liaise with Counsel on more complex proceedings.
- Maintain accurate case management records and time recording.
- Contribute to the continued success and growth of a highly respected specialist team.
You
- Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with a minimum of 2 years' post‑qualification experience.
- Previous experience handling clinical negligence matters.
- Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and client care skills.
- Able to manage your own caseload with confidence and autonomy.
- Empathetic and personable approach when supporting clients through sensitive circumstances.
- Organised, proactive and commercially aware.
- A team player who enjoys collaborating with colleagues and contributing to a positive working culture.
