Senior Engineering Project Manager

Our client is an engineering company specializing in wastewater treatment systems, including containerized solutions for municipal and industrial applications.
Based in the West Midlands, they provide comprehensive engineering services from initial design and planning to infrastructure development and wastewater treatment technology.
They are seeking a Senior Engineering Project Manager responsible for overseeing all aspects of engineering projects, including project and construction management, engineering management, and project engineering. The role involves coordinating with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
This position is office-based with occasional travel and potential overnight stays for project meetings or site installations.
Primary Duties:
1. Manage and deliver projects from concept to completion, ensuring safety, timeliness, and budget adherence.
2. Supervise and manage the EWS project delivery team.
3. Define and document project requirements.
4. Develop and oversee project schedules, resource plans, and budgets.
5. Manage design sub-contractors and deliverables.
6. Coordinate with suppliers and sub-contractors for optimal agreements.
7. Collaborate with Design Engineers and Technical Managers on costs and proposals.
8. Prepare commercial tenders and technical proposals following guidelines.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or related field.
* Experience in the wastewater treatment industry is highly desirable.
* Knowledge of contract conditions, CDM regulations, design management, project scheduling, and risk management.
* Familiarity with NEC 3 and 4 EEC contract conditions is advantageous.
* Strong commercial awareness, including project P&L responsibility.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
* Proficiency in interpreting GA drawings and P&IDs.
* PMP certification is a plus.
* Health & Safety qualification is beneficial but not essential.
* Full UK driving license is mandatory.
