Client Service Manager
Position: Permanent. Location: Edinburgh. Closing date: 2nd June 2026.
This role is a high‑impact position responsible for serving a defined portfolio of clients. The Client Service Manager will be the primary point of contact, ensuring that all operational and administrative needs are met promptly and that clients receive a consistently excellent standard of service. Success will drive client satisfaction, retention, and revenue growth for the UK business and the wider Aegon Asset Management group.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the primary office‑based point of contact for a portfolio of clients.
* Ensure all client requests, enquiries, and requirements are handled professionally, accurately, and within agreed timescales.
* Deliver client servicing activities.
* Manage and lead client onboarding processes, including complex mandates and feasibility checks for new or adjusted client offerings.
* Implement mandate changes and other client requests in month‑end processes.
* Support sales processes for all clients as required.
* Contribute to sales pitches, product amendments, and new product launches based on client knowledge and experience.
* Build and develop relationships with key client contacts and maintain strong working relationships with internal departments.
* Utilise and maintain CRM systems.
* Develop and maintain procedures to ensure regulatory and contractual deliverables are met.
* Proactively support process enhancements and alignments within UK Distribution from a top‑down perspective.
* Ensure compliance with the Knowledge & Competence regime under MiFID II, including annual review and attestation of knowledge and competence.
Qualifications
* Strong knowledge of the marketplace and the wider investment world, including investment markets.
* Strong technical knowledge of investment products and services across relevant asset classes.
* Track record of delivering excellent service to clients in the financial services industry.
* High level of technical operational knowledge gained from work with external clients, investment management firms, or both.
* High numeracy skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Excellent interpersonal and networking skills.
