Deputy Manager – Children’s Residential Home\n\nLocation: Swindon, Wiltshire\nHours: Full Time, Permanent\nSalary: £36,276 per year (inclusive of one weekly sleep-in shift)\n\nThe Opportunity\n\nWe’re seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager to support the leadership of a warm, welcoming, and therapeutic 5-bedded residential home for children and young people. Our values of empathy, integrity, and consistency underpin everything we do, ensuring every child has the best chance to reach their full potential.\n\nRole Responsibilities\n\nIn partnership with the Registered Manager, you will help oversee the home’s daily operations and ensure high standards of care and compliance. Your role will involve:\n\n * \n\n Supervising and guiding the care team\n\n * \n\n Ensuring safeguarding practices are followed at all times\n\n * \n\n Contributing to the development and review of individual care plans\n\n * \n\n Meeting Ofsted standards and organisational policies\n\n * \n\n Creating a homely, therapeutic atmosphere\n\n * \n\n Supporting positive outcomes for children and young people\n\nAbout You\n\n * \n\n Eligible to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)\n\n * \n\n Full UK driving licence\n\n * \n\n Experience in a residential children’s home as a Senior Support Worker, Team Leader, or Deputy Manager\n\n * \n\n Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) with the ambition to complete Level 5\n\n * \n\n Strong leadership, organisational, and interpersonal skills\n\n * \n\n Good knowledge of safeguarding legislation and children’s home regulations\n\nSafeguarding Statement\n\nAll roles are subject to enhanced DBS checks and fall under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exemptions Order).
