Senior Science Technician – Lead & Lab Management (Luton)
A large high-achieving academy in Luton is seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Science Technician to lead the technical support team from January 2026.
Responsibilities
* Lead a team of two subject-specific technicians managing the entire suite of Science laboratories and prep rooms.
* Oversee stock control and budget input, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
* Ensure seamless practical support for all key stages, especially A-Level.
* Coordinate with the Head of Science on strategic resource planning.
Experience and Qualifications
* Significant experience as a Science Technician with supervisory or senior capacity.
* Expert knowledge of CLEAPSS procedures and statutory safety requirements.
* Proven ability to manage a team, delegate tasks, and organise staff rotas effectively.
* Strong organisational skills for high-level stock and budget management.
