About the role
A well established organisation in the sports sector is looking for a hands-on IT Manager to run the IT function day-to-day. This is a standalone position with real responsibility where you’ll own operations and deliver practical improvements.
Key responsibilities
* Own day-to-day IT operations, infrastructure and core systems
* Provide on-site IT support for events
* Implement upgrades, automation and process improvements
* Maintain security, resilience and scalability of systems
* Manage third-party suppliers and vendors
* Be the main technical contact for non-technical colleagues
What we’re looking for
* 3+ years’ hands-on experience in IT operations/infrastructure
* Broad practical knowledge (networks, cloud services, hardware, core apps)
* Able to work independently and make decisions
* Strong communicator who can explain tech simply
* Calm under pressure and happy with time-sensitive tasks
* Interest in sport is a plus, but not essential
