Position Overview
We have a full‑time vacancy in our SLT Assistant team. The post holder will join our existing team of 12 SLT assistants to support the work of the SLT department. The role will involve working in local nurseries to screen children’s communication skills, deliver language groups and train nursery staff. It will also involve jointly running groups in clinics and supporting clinical and administration tasks for the wider SLT team. There will be an opportunity to develop your knowledge and understanding of communication development in children.

Department Overview
The Speech and Language Therapy department provides focused and clinically driven services across the community (Lambeth & Southwark). Our aim is to ensure clear delivery and development of services for the specific populations we serve, enabling smoother transitions, enhanced skill development across the team and greater job satisfaction.
We provide separate line management and clinical supervision to ensure strong clinical performance and development opportunities.
Main Responsibilities
* Screen children’s communication skills in nurseries.
* Lead language groups in nurseries and clinics across the two boroughs.
* Support nursery staff to deliver groups in their nursery settings.
* Support administration for the Early Years SLT team and other SLT teams: data entry, preparing resources, ordering resources, and various other admin tasks.
