We are now looking for a Rural Surveyor to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working 37 hours per week.

The Role
As a Rural Surveyor, you will support the delivery of our Estate Strategy and manage our land and assets to achieve the best outcomes for Exmoor and its communities.
Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you will provide expert land agency advice, ensuring the estate is professionally managed, legally compliant, and strategically aligned with long-term conservation and sustainability goals.
As part of your portfolio, you will lead formal re-valuations of Authority assets, monitor property-related risks, and contribute to land management schemes and environmental projects that enhance the natural landscape.
Additionally, You Will
* Identify and apply for external funding opportunities
* Maintain the estate terrier system
* Develop strong relationships with tenants, graziers, and licensees
* Oversee maintenance and repair works across the estate
* Draft and manage licences and contracts for third-party activities
About You
To be considered as a Rural Surveyor, you will need:
* Experience of practical estate management
* Experience of drafting specifications and managing contractors
* Knowledge of land use, agriculture, funding schemes, environmental and conservation issues, and legislation
* The ability to travel efficiently around the National Park and further afield
* A RICS-accredited degree in Rural Estate Management or similar
* Chartered membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) – Rural Pathway
