Job Title - Support worker
Location -Chelmsley Wood, Solihull
Salary - £12.14 per hour (Additional Sleep-in allowance estimated at £90per sleep-in)
Contract type - Permanent
Working hours - 35 hrs
About the role
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and committed Support Worker to provide housing related support to homeless individuals living within our temporary accommodation in Solihull.
The post is based at Ipswich house temporary accommodation service offering tenancy related support to homeless individuals.
The essence of the Support Worker role is to provide person centred support to our clients to assist them with appointments, finding permanent accommodation and to deliver a great service that engages them in working towards their positive future.
The clients that we work with have a diverse range of support needs therefore it is an essential element of our role as a Support Worker that you have experience and relevant knowledge of the needs of vulnerable people and how these needs can be met. All residents will be assisted with support plans and assisted to move on within 8 weeks

About you
We need someone who is confident to work within a small team as well as being a lone worker. You will be proficient in using Microsoft Office packages and maintaining accurate written records.
The successful Support Worker is required to take responsibility for completing all essential support tasks as a key worker whilst maintaining professional boundaries and confidentiality.
The successful Support Worker will be expected to work on a 4 week rolling rota which will include evenings, weekends andbank holidays. Sleep in shifts as part of the four week rota .
You will also need to have a full Driving Licence and access to a car.
This a fulltime role 35 hours
Essential : As you will be travelling to escort clients for viewings to move-on accommodation, it is essential you have a full UK Driving License and the use of a car.
