Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Mechanical / Pump Engineer to join our maintenance team, specializing in premium commercial office buildings across Central London. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance of various mechanical systems, with a core focus on pumps and associated plant. This is a crucial role ensuring the optimal operation and efficiency of critical building services.
Key Responsibilities

Perform scheduled planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and essential reactive maintenance on a wide range of building services equipment, including pumps, motors, seals, bearings, pressurisation units, valves, AHUs, FCUs, and cooling towers.

Specialise in the fault:finding, repair, and overhaul of various types of pumps (e.g., HVAC, booster, sewage, circulation) and related pipework.

Conduct routine inspections and testing of mechanical plant to ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and operational standards.

Carry out minor installation and commissioning works as required.
*
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Essential Requirements

Recognised mechanical qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City and Guilds in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent).
*
Demonstrable experience working as a Mechanical Engineer within a commercial office/corporate environment in London.
*
Strong technical expertise in the maintenance and repair of various pump systems.
*
Excellent fault:finding and diagnostic skills across HVAC mechanical plant.
*
Valid UK driving license.
