A secondary school in Moston is seeking an experienced and confident Team Teach trained Teaching Assistant to join their support team this September. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong behaviour management skills who can support students with a range of additional needs, both in class and in small group or 1:1 settings.
The successful candidate will play a key role in helping students access their learning while using Team Teach strategies to manage challenging behaviour and promote positive engagement.
Responsibilities
* Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs
* Supporting students who may display challenging behaviour, using Team Teach strategies
* Working alongside teaching staff to ensure pupils remain engaged in learning
* Supporting emotional regulation, social skills and independence
* Helping to create an inclusive and safe learning environment
What We're Looking For
* Team Teach training (essential) – must be current and valid
* Previous experience working in a secondary school or with young people who have additional needs
* Strong behaviour management skills with a calm and consistent approach
* A resilient and supportive personality, able to build positive relationships with students
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
