Key Responsibilities
* Overseeing the design, installation, and maintenance of street lighting systems
* Conducting technical assessments and ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations
* Managing projects from inception through to completion, delivering within budget and on time
* Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including local authorities and contractors
* Preparing detailed technical reports and documentation
* Providing expert guidance and support to junior engineers and other team members
* Undertaking site inspections and audits to ensure the quality and safety of street lighting installations
* Implementing sustainable and energy‑efficient lighting solutions
Job Requirements
* Experience in street lighting engineering within the highways sector
* Strong understanding of street lighting design principles and relevant regulatory standards
* Proficiency in using design and analysis software
* Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
* Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with various stakeholders
* Ability to provide technical mentorship and support to team members
* Attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety
* Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent experience
