Occupational Hygienist Oxfordshire | Full-time | Permanent £27,000-£35,000 DOE benefits profit share An employee-owned environmental consultancy is looking for an early-career Occupational Hygienist / Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Consultant to join its expanding Oxfordshire team. The Role This is a practical, hands-on role with strong support from experienced consultants as you develop technical and client-facing skills. Responsibilities include: Conducting occupational exposure assessments (dusts, fibres, VOCs, gases, airborne contaminants) Analysing monitoring data and producing clear technical reports Supporting surveys such as noise monitoring and LEV assessments (full training provided) Assisting with client enquiries, quotations, and business development The role is primarily office-based with regular UK site work. Hybrid working is available after initial training. What We're Looking For Essential At least 1 year's experience in occupational/industrial hygiene Experience with airborne contaminant and noise monitoring Strong technical report writing skills Confident using Word and Excel Ability to interpret and manage large datasets Knowledge of COSHH, EH40 and MDHS guidance Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK Desirable BOHS membership Relevant degree (Occupational Hygiene, Environmental Science or similar) Knowledge of IAQ frameworks (e.g. BREEAM) LEV testing experience Experience supporting quotations/commercial enquiries Comfortable in client-facing situations Willingness to travel, including occasional overnight stays Benefits Employee ownership profit share Support for professional memberships (BOHS, IES, IAQM) 7% employer pension contribution Private medical and dental insurance Company vehicle scheme (subject to availability) Ongoing training and development UK travel with occasional overseas opportunities 25 days annual leave bank holidays Apply To apply or learn more, contact Abi King at Penguin Recruitment
