GSL Education are recruiting a committed Cover Supervisor to support secondary schools in the S11 area of Sheffield. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced support staff looking to gain valuable classroom experience.
Role Overview:
As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher, ensuring pupils remain on task and engaged in their learning.
Key Responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor (CS):
* Ensure a calm, safe, and focused classroom environment.
* Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
* Report back to teaching staff on lesson outcomes and behaviour.
Requirements for Cover Supervisor (CS):
* Prior experience in an educational setting beneficial but not essential.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to manage behaviour confidently and professionally.
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
* A full 10-year career history with no unexplained gaps.
