About the Role
A growing SME based on the outskirts of Southampton, widely regarded as a local success story are seeking a Management Accountant to join the finance team.
Reporting to the FD this is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented professional who’s passionate about delivering insightful financial analysis and driving business performance.
As a Management Accountant, you’ll play a key role in producing accurate financial information, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring robust financial control across the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare monthly management accounts and variance analysis
* Support budgeting and forecasting processes
* Provide financial insights to support operational and strategic decisions
* Monitor and report on key financial performance indicators
* Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain accurate financial records
* Work closely with department heads to understand financial drivers and improve cost efficiency
* Maximise ERP functionality to track gross profit margins and variance rebates
About You
We’re looking for someone who is proactive, analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You’ll need strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.
Essential Requirements:
* Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA or equivalent)
* Experience in management accounting or similar finance role
* Strong Excel, systems and data analysis skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
