We would welcome applications from dental nurses who are seeking a new challenge in a role that makes a difference by helping in their local community. We are a community dental service with clinics across South East and South West London, providing high-level dental care both inside and outside of dental surgeries. Our outreach includes schools, homeless centres, hospitals, patients' homes, and care homes—delivering dentistry in unexpected places.
You will be based in one clinic and become part of a larger community team. We are currently recruiting for a part-time dental nurse to work across Lambeth, Southwark, and Lewisham.
The successful candidate will need to be able to:
* Perform chairside dental nursing duties to a high standard
* Assist in medical emergencies
* Support patients with special needs, including vulnerable children, the elderly, and those with mental or physical disabilities, terminal illnesses, infectious risks, or mental health issues
* Prepare and participate in domiciliary care for elderly patients and those who have difficulty leaving their homes, including school visits
* Perform decontamination and sterilisation of instruments, testing equipment regularly
