We are delighted to be supporting our client with the recruitment of a Vessel Cost Controller for this maternity cover role which is expected to be for 12 months.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Monthly financial close and preparation of monthly Vessel Reports
o Necessary accruals
o Comparing actuals vs budget/forecast
o Analysing and commenting over-/under budget with input from the Vessel Team
o Following up, reconciling and documenting 'operational balance accounts'
· Preparation of Vessel budget and forecast together with Fleet Team
· Raising customer invoices, reimbursable invoices and intercompany invoices as per contractual agreements.
Follow-up of overdue receivables towards clients and if needed internal escalation within the Fleet team
· Responsibility for ensuring accounting transactions are posted, up to date and in accordance with Group standards·
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· University Degree or similar with Bachelor/Master within Economics/Finance/Accounting or similar. Experience can compensate for the lack of formal education
