Role purpose
Provide support to the onsite Estates & Facilities Manager and the Facilities Team at our contract in Harwell, Oxford, Didcot, Oxfordshire OX11 0QR, with a requirement to travel to Westcott as needed.

£35-40k
Responsibilities
* Operational oversight and tactical leadership of day-to-day Estates and facilities operations at Harwell; act as trusted Deputy to the Estates & Facilities Manager in her absence.
* Own stakeholder relationships at operational level and translate business units and tenants needs into deliverables.
* Run site inductions, contractor reviews, validate RAMS, conduct site audits, enforce KPIs/SLAs, and manage non-conformance escalation, scope, and minor works.
* Deliver Helpdesk function on site, providing helpdesk reporting and statistics against KPIs/SLAs, and manage the planned maintenance program with off-site Q3 engineers, contractors, and occupants.
* Ensure compliance accountability and provide H&S control measures across all contractors and their activities.
* Maintain fire strategy and accessibility standards, implementing appropriate actions; ensure first aid strategy and provisions are in place.
* Utilise the CAFM system to manage work orders and subsequent purchase orders.
* Order and maintain stock related to the facilities management service provision, including consumables.
* Oversee contractors to ensure work is delivered safely to a good standard.
* Perform all administrative or operational duties supporting the contract, including contract or SAC related tasks.
* Cover site or remote duties between Westcott and Harwell, managing sickness, holidays, and events as necessary.
* Provide full time on site presence.
* Act as a conduit between the onsite FM team and external provider.
Qualifications
* Strong knowledge of Facilities Management and relevant legislation.
* Excellent relationship skills, managing and maintaining relationships at all levels continually.
* Experience working with a CAFM package.
* Ability to think from the perspective of end users, customers and operations.
* Good administration skills with an emphasis on accurate and timely data and the ability to multi‑task.
* Confidentiality in all client and staff information.
* A drive to deliver excellent customer service.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Robust understanding of information security and GDPR.
