Accounts Assistant - Temp to Perm Location: Brierley Hill Salary: £25,000.00 (Depending on experience and ability) Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am 5:00pm (1 Hour Lunch Break) Red Rock Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our client for a hands-on and experienced Accounts Assistant to join their team based in Brierley Hill. The successful candidate will have strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and a solid background in administrative and accounting tasks. This role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the office supporting the wider team, maintaining accurate financial and administrative records, and ensuring effective communication across the company. Key Responsibilities Manage daily office operations, maintaining an organised and efficient workspace. Handle incoming calls and correspondence with professionalism and courtesy. Process Sales and Purchase Ledgers, issue invoices and credit notes. Manage subcontractor payments and complete CIS submissions via HMRC. Assist with bookkeeping duties using Sage 50 Accounts, including invoicing and reconciliations. Prepare month-end financial reconciliations and reports. Perform online banking duties and manage petty cash transactions. Run and oversee payroll using Sage 50 Payroll. Maintain and organise HR documentation. Prepare letters, documents, and reports using Microsoft Word and Excel. Organise meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements as required. Support the team with general clerical tasks such as filing, scanning, and photocopying. Co-ordinate and manage a small company vehicle fleet. Skills & Experience Proven office experience with a strong administrative background. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Proven experience using Sage 50 Accounts and Sage 50 Payroll. Strong financial awareness and excellent attention to detail. Flexible, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a small, busy team. Previous clerical or administrative experience is desirable.
