A fantastic opportunity has arisen with a public services client based at their headquarters in Penrith. The role of Finance Officer is a key member of the team. The new appointee will advise the relevant budget holders and management teams on all financial matters. The Finance Officer has an influential role in the departmentsmands they support. The post holder will ensure that appropriate systems and procedures are developed and maintained to support financial management within the departmentsmand they support. Reporting to the Financial Services Manager, you will join a well-established and qualified team.
Your new role
Typical duties will include:
Coordinating the budget-setting process in the departments
Management and Accounts preparation & year-end involvement
Advise and monitor the revenue and capital budgets, provide monthly budget monitoring reports to the budget holder and management team advising on variances and the financial effects of resource allocation decisions.
Liaising with the Financial Services Manager with regard to audit reports and ensuring that departmentalmand-related rmendations are implemented
What you'll need to succeed
Previous technical accounting experience in a similar role
AAT qualified min
Excellent IT andmunication skills
Team player, drive toplete tasks on a timely basis

Annual salary £38,754-£48,930 (dependent on experience)
12-month fixed term contract with extension
Flexitime - Monday to Friday 7am -10pm
