We've created this role in our People Services team to be the role model for "gold standard" people services. This role is for an aspiring People leader, someone who is passionate about stretching their own development through supporting the drive for improvement within the People Services Team. The key things we're looking for you to demonstrate are: Good knowledge of People processes and associated legislation and rule including statutory payments, parental leave, right to work and employment terms and conditions Experience in HR Operations and administration Skilled in managing various forms of data and leveraging HR systems Skilled in using google suite (or similar applications) and a minimum basic level of excel/google sheet skills. Ability to role model and inspire others to deliver excellence in process, SLAs, data compliance and customer experience Strong written and verbal communication; naturally using a non-corporate, warm and optimistic tone of voice. Agile mindset, has the ability to keep multiple projects and tasks moving forward at once Willing to learn, challenge and develop both as an individual and as part of a team Ability to search for and deliver on process improvements, understanding what service our customers would benefit from Ability to take vague problems and translate the 'need' to action and deliver to a quality standard. We work together. Your team and the people you will work with… You'll be joining a busy and buzzing People Services team. Headed up by our Senior People Services Manager, this team of 5 People Services Advisor are the front line of colleague service for the whole UW business (2,700 employees). You'll be part of a wider People team of experts including People Partners, Recruitment, Reward & Recognition, Learning & Development and People Change - there will be many pathways for you to develop your career, We deliver progress. What you'll do and how you will make an impact. You'll be responsible for the day to day delivery of employee changes and queries and fulfil an essential responsibility for the implementing accuracy checks, monitor trends and make improvement suggestions to the People Services team leader to enable regular and continuous improvement to our services. You will also be expected to represent the People Services team leader when they're unavailable. In the day-to-day of the role, your responsibilities are; Review and respond to employee queries across the employee lifecycle. Including advising on people-related policy, processes and systems. Provide accuracy checks for People Services activities including, email quality, letter quality and system input checks. Retrospective case reviews of People Services workload to identify improvements across the team. Stand in for the People Services Team leader in meetings when they're unable to represent the team. Work in collaboration with the People Support Team leader to create a clear action plan for upcoming team goals inclusive of communicating to People Support advisors. Work in collaboration with relevant Data Quality contacts to ensure a focus remains throughout the team, constantly aiming to improve quality metrics month on month.
