Senior Quantity Surveyor - Water Sector Capital Delivery Framework
Location: Derby
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 + car allowance & package
The Role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing the commercial performance of complex, high value projects within the a busy, high value framework. You'll work closely with project teams and senior management to ensure accurate financial reporting, effective cost control, and robust contract management. Responsibilities include:
* Overseeing subcontract management from procurement through to final account.
* Preparing valuations, forecasts, and detailed cost reports.
* Managing risk and ensuring compliance with NEC contracts.
* Supporting and mentoring junior members of the commercial team.
* Building strong relationships with client representatives and supply chain partners.
* Contributing to continuous improvement of commercial processes and procedures.
About You
We're keen to speak with candidates who can demonstrate:
* Proven experience as a Senior QS or an established QS ready to step up.
* Strong background in the contracting environment, ideally within civil engineering, utilities, or water sector projects.
* Good knowledge of NEC contracts and commercial risk management.
* Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
* Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
