About the role
As a Customer Delivery Driver at Waitrose, you'll deliver quality produce and excellent Partner-led service directly to our customers' doors. When not on deliveries, you'll support the shop team with daily tasks like stock replenishment and housekeeping, contributing to the shop's efficient operation in a friendly environment.
Note: You must be 18 or older to apply.
Key Responsibilities
1. Start your day in-store, reviewing your delivery routes.
2. Load and prepare your van for deliveries, ensuring all orders are ready for efficient delivery.
3. Perform vehicle safety checks, maintaining compliance with road safety and health regulations.
4. Represent the Waitrose brand with excellent customer service on the road.
5. Assist customers with shopping and build rapport based on trust and service.
6. Support shop tasks as needed, including general shopkeeping.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Valid UK B-Category manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
* Strong customer service skills.
* Good time management.
* Ability to handle physical tasks, such as lifting crates and cages.
* Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work independently.
* IT literacy.
Desirable Skills and Experience
* Previous driving experience, especially with chilled vehicles.
